Importation of candles was stopped with the establishment of Roya candle production factory

he activity of Roya candle production unit started in 2014 as a semi-automatic production, and after the research conducted in the country where candles were mainly produced in workshops, this industrial unit started industrial production by importing fully automatic machines from 5 years ago, i.e. It started in 2016. With the establishment of this production unit, all imports of warmer candles from China were stopped and now even the export of this product has been started.

In this connection, Mr. Hamid Samadi, the manager of Roya Candle Industrial Unit, discussed the different aspects of candle production in Iran in his interview with Radio Economy. He added that Roya candle industrial unit has been able to include the diverse production of candles in a space of over 4000 square meters and by employing 70-80 direct human resources in its work plan. Contrary to popular belief, candle production is not a simple process. Candle production is an art and has its own technique and technology. So that the warmer production line is about 40 meters long, and the cups, sequins, and wicks are installed in a fully automatic manner, and then the cup is filled with the product in a fully automatic process. In addition, there are a series of other products in Roya’s candle production basket, which are semi-automatically produced using different molds.

He also said about the candle market in Iran: Today, in the market and some commercial centers, imported glass candles are sold at a price of over one million tomans, but due to the increase in the production capacity of this collection, its import has decreased. And we can boldly claim that we can produce any candle idea with any design, any essence and any color today. Unlike some manufacturers who have unfortunately destroyed the Iranian brand, Shama Roya believes that we should be Iranian. Being Iranian means that the quality is always good, not that the quality changes by attracting customers. Therefore, Roya brand is known as the first brand of the country. And in terms of fuel and type of paraffin, it works correctly.

Mr. Hamid Samadi continued to speak about the issue of unscrupulous sanctions of western countries: it should be said about the sanctions, although in some areas they create obstacles in the way of production, on the contrary, they also create opportunities and with the increase in the price of currency Instead of importing, we can export. And in this connection, our first export shipment was exported to Turkey. In addition, we have exported to other countries such as Romania, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates and the countries of Central Asia, and we are planning to supply our products to some reputable and well-known chain stores in the world.

Regarding the quality of Roya candle products, he said that the additives and essential oils used in Roya candle products are supplied from the best European producers and the paraffin used in these products is one of the best and highest quality paraffin available in the country. These colors and essences used in Roya candles are special for candles, but some manufacturers do not use special colors and essences for candles, and this causes the candles to smoke and other problems. The process of using raw materials and additives in Roya candle production complex is carried out under various tests in laboratories and after the initial tests and obtaining the necessary approvals, it enters the market.

Regarding the capacity of this production unit, the CEO of Shama Roya Industrial Unit stated: The production capacity of Shama Roya Industrial Unit is based on the daily consumption of paraffin, and we have planned to increase the production by 30% annually.

In the end, they addressed some of the problems facing this industry as follows: The main problems of this industry are the supply of raw materials by the refineries, which sometimes do not supply raw materials to the market for a month, and this causes the price of the final product to increase and the product’s lack of competitiveness in the market. Foreign markets become and these refineries actually manage their supplies.
